Services Provided

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or unsure how to move forward, this space is for you. Whether you’re looking for support for yourself or your child, therapy can be a place to slow things down, make sense of what’s happening, and feel less alone.

Consultation

Throughout the course of treatment with children, parent consultations will also be scheduled on a regular basis to address specific needs or concerns as well as to reflect on and track progress.

Parenting support

The Circle of Security Parenting™ (COSP™) group at Cool Creek Counseling is a supportive, attachment-focused parenting group created specifically for parents and caregivers of children ages 0–6. This virtual group helps parents better understand what young children are communicating through behavior and how to respond in ways that support emotional security, connection, and healthy boundaries during these early years.

Individual Counseling

Direct one-on-one talk therapy with teens and young adults.  This can look a bit different for everyone, based on what is bringing you in. Our first goal is to meet you where you are at and help you to feel heard and understood. We will develop “goals” together and above all, we aim to create a safe place where we can work through difficulties together.

EMDR Therapy

EMDR therapy is a psychotherapeutic approach that helps individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences. It involves bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements or taps, to facilitate the reprocessing of distressing memories and reduce associated emotional distress. By accessing and integrating these memories in a safe and structured manner, EMDR aims to alleviate symptoms, promote adaptive resolution, and foster psychological well-being.

Play Therapy

Play is a child's natural form of communication, therefore we typically utilize play therapy in counseling with children aged 3-12 to assist in the processing of thoughts and emotions that are typically difficult to verbalize. Art therapy and Sand Tray therapy may be incorporated as well.

Art therapy

Through integrative and creative methods, art therapy can help to engage the therapeutic process with art as a form of communication. Through creative expression, we can foster healing and mental well-being. Art therapy can be used by individuals of all ages.

online therapy

Telehealth, often called virtual therapy or online therapy is offered as a valuable therapy option through a real time video format. Online therapy is an effective way to meet with a therapist from your home/work to address individual or play therapy needs.

workshops

Throughout the year you may find us providing workshops anywhere from social skills to parenting support. Providing a therapy theme in a small group setting can be a very valuable experience to learn and grow in a different way.
