Location/ Parking

NEW LOCATION STARTING MARCH 3, 2024: We are located in the Wheatland Place building at the corner of Race Ave and Wheatland Ave in Lancaster. We are in between Marietta Ave and Columbia Ave and behind The Clock Tower Apartments/New School Montessori. There is a parking lot for the building off of Race Ave or free street parking on Wheatland Ave, right in front of the main entrance. If parking in the parking lot please do not use the side entrance right off of the parking lot, walk around to the front of the building and use the main entrance on Wheatland Place. Upon entering the main lobby turn left and go up the few stairs to the elevator/stairwell. We are located on the third floor and the first Suite when you exit the stairs or elevator.

Insurance

Our office is in network with the following commercial insurance plans: Highmark/Blue Cross Blue Shield, Capital Blue Cross, Aetna, Quest, Geisinger, Luminare/Aetna Signature Administrators.  We are not in network with any medicare/medicaid/medical assistance plans. You will be asked for your insurance information when scheduling for an initial appointment.  If we are not in network with your insurance plan there may be an option of using your Out of Network benefits. It is ultimately the client’s responsibility to know their benefits (you can call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and inquire about outpatient therapy services), but our office will do our best to help look up this information when we are able to.

How long does therapy take?

Individual therapy sessions are typically 55 minutes in length.  Ideally sessions are typically started weekly, and may change to every other week/monthly based on progress or special circumstances.  We will determine how often we will meet in the intake.  Because everyone is referred to therapy for different reasons, it is difficult to determine a set time-frame for how long therapy will last for you.  We will discuss an average time-frame during our intake.

good faith estimate

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, effective January 1, 2022, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services prior to appointments. This estimate of services, is called a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges. Our office is transparent about all fees at the time of scheduling appointments and also does our best to look up insurance benefits and your costs when using your insurance so you have that information in advance of appointments. Under this new law, for clients who chose to work with Cool Creek Counseling as a mental health provider when we are not in network with your insurance, or if you chose to not use your insurance or chose to self-pay, we will provide you both orally and written, prior to first appointment, a Good Faith Estimate of services outlining costs for services. You also have the right to request this. For questions, more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or information on how to dispute any bills relating to this law, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
